Laura & Aaron's Engagement, Everywhere, Bay Area, CA

Well, when my cousin Laura told me she was getting married I flipped out with joy! I insisted I photograph her wedding, and I'm so happy she said yes. She and Aaron are so cool, I just knew it was going to be SO awesome :) Laura and Aaron make the kind of match any loved one wishes on someone close to them. There is such a great connection between the two of them, and I can not be more elated to welcome Aaron to our crazy Italian family. For this engagement shoot, Laura, Aaron and I decided on a large playground which spanned most of the day and pleasantly demanded a long drive around the Bay Area. I started off by taking them to the top of Twin Peaks for an iconic Sutro Tower shot, from there we visited the Golden Gate Dairy Farm and finally sunset at Stafford Lake. Laura brought this awesome blanket which worked very nicely as a prop throughout the day. We did several outfit changes and played out a bunch of movie type scenes. Laura was glowing which made me happy to the core. Thanks so much you guys, I won't soon forget this one.

Pamela & Justin's Wedding, The de Young Museum, San Francisco, CA

Pamela & Justin were just smiles and smiles for miles. It was such a pleasure to work with such and easy going and fun loving couple. And OH, my darling de Young, how you never cease to amaze me! I've said this before and I'll declare it again; the de Young is one of my all time favorite venues. Outside of being breathtaking, it is always such a pleasure to work with the team over there. I missed working with the one and only Shannon Murphy on this one, but it was so lovely to work again with Hannah St. Clair from McCall's Catering. She always does such a stellar job. Pamela was stunning with makeup by Wow Pretty that flattered each of her dresses, which, like the sky, changed colors throughout the day and ended with my personal favorite, a Claire Pettibone. I love multicultural weddings, and everything from the attire to the ceremony to the reception was a photojournalistically exciting. I especially love the roast pig, which made appearances at the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Pamela & Justin, I truly appreciate your hospitality in having me along, it was a fabulous!

Silvia & Eric's Engagement

Silvia & Eric were a darling couple to work with. Silvia stunned me with this Indian Paint Brush red dress that knocked me backwards. Gilt, consequently has now become my favorite site. It was a great day at play. We started off at the Legion of Honor where we ran around skirting tourists for the perfect shot. We bounced over to the Sutro Baths where the movie bug in me took hold and I began to aim for a Fellini frame here and there. We went with an oldie but a goodie for our final shots of the day, taking in the last rays of light at Baker Beach. It was a grand adventure and I had an excellent time. Thanks Silvia & Eric!
