Occasionally, when I meet one of my couples I get an emotional pang of "Gosh, I really wish we'll become friends" feeling, and with Evelyn & Michael I immediately felt that way. Maybe it was because they were referred to me by Emily & James, former clients now friends. Or, maybe it was because when they told me that they were visiting New Orleans and I suggested having their engagement session there, they enthusiastically agreed. Or, maybe it was just in realizing that this was going to be a warm welcoming wedding, because they are so genuinely sweet, open and loving. One way or the other, it really was my pleasure shooting this vibrant and unique wedding. I could not get enough of every color, texture, and taste. It was SUCH a beautiful day, with perfect weather, great people, and incredible food, it was literally everything you could hope for such a celebration. I especially adored our adventure in a nearby cemetery, which lent a dia de los muertos touch to the day that just seemed to work. One way or the other, my heart feels bigger after this one, and I am so happy that the photographs reflect my love of this wedding. Thank you so much, Evelyn & Michael, it was a great adventure.
