There are a handful of people in my life that no matter what
happens I will always feel connected to. Not just in a friendly way, but in a
family way. These people mean so much to me, that I would do anything for them.
You need a kidney? You got it. Combining my love for a person like this, and my
love for photography gives my heart wings. It means so so much to me. Marimba
is my sister, my oldest friend. She taught me how to become an artist by giving
me insight and confidence when I didn’t have much. I could go on and on about
her, but if you really want some perspective about how special she is, please
listen to this wonderful podcast she was just on: QuestHands
As you can imagine, when Marimba & Steve
asked me to be their wedding photographer, I flipped out with joy. Although it
was a brisk day, it was such a warm wedding, comfortably nestled in the heart
of Golden Gate Park. And as GG Park means a lot to Mim and I, it was incredibly
fitting. I adored that we got to photograph with the SF mime troupe, which was
a welcome side note to the day, and very apropos to our current political
climate. Before owning her own pilates studio, Mim was an incredible dancer and
performer, so it was wonderful for me to see her on stage again <3 That
said, my favorite picture that day was of Steve during the ceremony, looking at
Mim with tears in his eyes. Ugh, it was just such a beautiful wedding and I’ll
cherish it forever. I love you guys!
