Cary & Alex's Wedding, deYoung Museum, San Francisco, CA

This was one hot wedding, quite literally, as it ended in a visit from the fire department! That said, Cary & Alex went beyond all expectation, as every thought and detail was lovingly crafted (wow florals, wow cake, wow everything). The grace, modernity and beauty of it all was unbelievable, I was truly blown away. Even though the heat in San Francisco shattered records that day, peaking at 107 degrees, Cary & Alex totally kept their cool. Thank goodness for air conditioning! That said, considering the unseasonable weather, it all went smoothly, and by the ceremony it couldn't have been more beautiful outside. The de Young is such an amazing backdrop, with my favorite contemporary architecture in the city. It's easy to get inspired there and I always look forward to what that inspiration produces. Cary & Alex had a kind of fairytale elegance and being able to trail behind them, through the nooks and crannies of the museum, really made my heart sing. It felt like the perfect day, even with the surprise ending, which in my opinion, just added a little spice to the sweetness. It certainly was a memorable wedding, with all the fireworks, and thank goodness, no fire! Thanks Cary & Alex :) As Cierra from Dreams on a Dime and I discussed, this was a memorable wedding for sure.
